-->  2011 Sauvignon Blanc , Greywacke Kevin Judd was the original winemaker at Cloudy Bay at its inception in 1985. Those were the days when their wines were exceptionally good and Bennetts were one of the first UK stockists. How times change. As popularity grew quality dipped. We had our knuckles metaphorically slapped for daring to say so in print, and our allocation was cancelled. Eventually Kevin left to start his own label. Greywacke is a sedimentary rock widely found in Marlborough which has given its name to his new label. All the fruit has been sourced from a number of his old contacts. The 2009 Sauvignon Blanc is serious wine, minerally with good aromatic lift.
