 2009 Village Pinot Noir Kumeu River
The 'Village ' Pinot Noir (the second label of the great Kumeu River Vineyard), is a silky, aromatic and well balanced wine that drinks well young. If only more winemakers in the New World aimed at this style rather than over-extracting in a misguided attempt to produce big and powerful wines that do a disservice to this wonderful grape variety.
