Fruit for this wine comes from the same vineyards as Monte Bello. Can be drunk young, however ideally best at 10 years plus. Red and blackcurrant fruit with hints of cherry, cedar, cocoa and toasty oak. Paul Draper reckons that the quality of this Santa Cruz Cabernet/Merlot is better than 30% of the Monte Bello he has ever made. Very fine quality indeed.
