2005 Meursault Cuvee Tete de Murger Domaine Patrick Javillier

An inspired blend of fruit from a west-facing plot called Murgers, which nurtures 35- to 45-year-old vines, and Caste Tête, an eastern-facing section with 35-year-old vines.
A fruit bomb of a nose, featuring peach, apricot, vanilla, honey and a leesy nuance. Fat, dense and rich but not at all overly sweet; in fact, this is quite classic in light of the vintage...Very rich, full, expressive Meursault, with a long, tactile finish.
